Terry Francis is a British DJ and tech house producer who has been a mainstay of the electronic music scene for over two decades. Born and raised in London, Francis began DJing in the early 1990s and quickly became a fixture at some of the city’s most legendary clubs and parties.
In 1999, Francis joined up with new London club, Fabric. The club instantly became London’s most revered underground venue & Terry was a huge part of its success. When Fabric were defining their Saturday night music policy, the London-based sound pioneered by Francis was one of its key inspirations, and he was enlisted to provide the sound track, every weekend.
As a DJ, Francis is known for his impeccable taste and technical skill, blending deep, driving rhythms with soulful melodies and a keen sense of drama and tension. In addition to his DJing, Francis is also a prolific producer, with a discography spanning over 20 years. Moodymanc Danny Ward (AKA Moodymanc) has been producing records under the name Dubble D since the mid 90s, having produced two albums and a string of 12’s on 2020 Vision and co-founding the group 2020 Soundsystem with Ralph Lawson and Silver City. In the 90s and early noughties he collaborated and appeared on records with such luminaries as Fila Brazilian, The Pharcyde, Rae and Christian, Nightmares On Wax, Awesome 3 and a host of others but it was the cheeky moniker Moodymanc that brought him firmly into the spotlight of house music lovers worldwide.
